Octavo (21 cm), pp. 225. Signed by author on title page. White boards with black debossed title on front board and black spine text. Black publisher's stain to top of text block. Minor bumping to spine ends. Jacket with original $5.95 price, shows light rubbing, tanning and a couple small (to 1/2") closed tears. Harrison's first novel was nominally the inspiration for a 1994 movie starring Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer and James Spader, though the plot diverges wildly and Harrison once complained to his friend, Doug Peacock: "Douglas, they turned my wolf into a ground squirrel." No remainder mark: This was not a particularly well-selling book for Harrison, so many copies are marked (Jeff Hirsch, ABAA). Dust jacket present. First Edition.
