12mo (19 cm), pp. 284. Signed and inscribed by author on dedication page: "Dear Henry- Why in the hell did you put out good money for this trash? Bud / A.B. Guthrie Jr. Missoula, Mont., May 18, 1970." Yellow and red cloth boards, deckle edge. Rounded binding is slightly cocked, former owner's name written on front pastedown (which has bled onto free front endpaper). Spine is bumped, with light corner wear. Guthrie reportedly hated his first book, calling it a "trashy piece of work," according to the New York Times, which explains the inscription. First Edition.
